Lubomyr Melnyk is considered the fastest pianist of our time, able to play 19.5 notes per second. That's more than the human ear can even sense.
To record this hurricane of tones in acetate was a challenge we gladly faced, resulting in a record that preserved the complete tapestry of sound - as always cut in real time with a saphire, cutting each and every single sound wave of Lubomyr's breathtaking play on a legendary Bösendorfer piano.
Whilst the official record of this unique session is released on the label of our dear friend and musical curator Gregor Samsa / Sounds of Subterrania, we're happy to make a few exclusive copies of our archive record available to the fastest ones amongst you. Giving you the chance to participate in the wonderful and truly unique music of Lubomyr.
