Archival Tape Edition No. 30
Keith Jarrett: Bop-Be
€500.00
Bop-Be captures Keith Jarrett’s American Quartet at its rawest and least polite. Recorded in 1976, the session trades meditative radiance for pure friction: Jarrett treats the piano like a percussion instrument, intentionally clashing with Dewey Redman’s horn rather than smoothing the way for it. It’s a messy, physical record—and a necessary reminder that post-bop’s forward march was often driven by heat, noise, and sheer confrontation.
