The ONE INSTANT DIY CAMERA is designed around brand-new Fuji PA-1 film backs and a supremely limited batch of Polaroid lenses in Copal Press shutters.
With the SLIDING BOX CAMERA and PINHOLE CAMERA modules, you get four packfilm cameras in one - all completely interchangeable onto a single PA-1 processing back, thanks to our clever magnetic mounting system.

SLIDING BOX CAMERA
Inspired by some of the earliest historic camera designs, the SLIDING BOX CAMERA is highly functional and specially suited to shooting with ONE INSTANT film.
With the 108mm triplet lens, fully mechanical shutter and removable focusing screen, traditional view camera photography is made available to the packfilm shooter. A tripod and a black cloth over your head will enable you to focus and compose your image exactly as you see it projected by the lens.
From infinity focus to 49cm, this camera is capable of near-macro levels of performance. Hand-held photography is also possible, thanks to the etched focusing scale and ergonomic cable-release placement.
PINHOLE CAMERA
For the lover of more primitive optics, the PINHOLE CAMERA includes three different focal lengths, ranging from ultra-wide angle to normal perspective. Changing between 20mm, 35mm, and 50mm is effortless with the magnetic mounting system.
210µm diameter laser-cut pinholes are included, but can easily be swapped out by anyone wishing to use their own pinholes. A pivoting mangetic shutter cap gives you control over exposure times and is easily transferred between focal lengths.

A word about 'doing-it-yourself'...Everything you need to build the ONE INSTANT DIY CAMERA is included in the kit! You just need to supply your own small hammer and find a good solid work surface that you won't mind getting messy.
From start to finish, the whole kit typically takes three to four hours to complete, including short breaks for drying.
This is a fairly elaborate kit, which involves gluing, sanding, staining, and so forth; it is not a simple snap together laser-cut model! This kit is recommended for crafty people seeking a rewarding challenge.
